Feature:
Looks like a toy. But the fader is nice and the curve can be set.
Quality:
Too much plastic.
Value:
DON'T BUY THIS
Desirability:
JUNK
Sound:
No on-board effects. Sounds as good as the mp3 on your i-pod, but so what.
Ease of Use:
Scratch wheels are a JOKE! Not responsive for scratching and the reason why I'm RETURNING THIS PRODUCT. I even called Numark because I thought mine was broke, but Jose at Numark claimed it's not supposed to emulate the feel of scratching a turntable.
Support:
I called Numark and they somehow stand behind this product.
Overall:
Bunk machine for a real DJ

Feature:
The built in mixer & scratch features are great, i'm hoping that the next firmware upgrade will allow you to assign tracks to deck A & deck B via the keyboard.
Quality:
The iDJ2 is well designed but the casing could have been made to look more professional as it feels very "flimsy".
Professional quality technology within a toys body. I have recently purchased the overpriced roadcase (£120) which makes it look much more professional & keeping the iDJ2 safe while on the road as well as gigging.
Value:
If the body was not made of plastic & the buttons were more robust, then probably it would be worth the money, but at the moment it is overpriced.
Desirability:
Looks absolutley stunning with its cool blue LED's
Sound:
I use the iDJ2 alongside a pro twin CD player at every gig, & even the 320 bitrate mp3's do not sound as sharp a CD's
Ease of Use:
Very easy to use as all the knobs, sliders etc seem to be placed in the correct positions, however the LCD screen should be made bigger as it only displays 8 tracks/artists/etc.
The manual is supplied on the USB thumb drive which is annoying.
Support:
I have had major problems with the 1.09 firmware & have to admit that the guys at Numark HQ in the UK were very helpful & also contacted the guys in the States regarding the problems, which in turn led to a phone call to me here in the UK from Numarks tech dept in the States, we must have spoken approx 20 mins regarding my problems, however, after the following 2-3 weeks with still the same problems UK & USA did not want to know anymore.
Overall:
If the product were lost or stolen then i would replace it. It is a saviour at instant track/artist searching. One of the best features about it is it "crate" facility where you can place requests & your set in for easy loading during your perfomance.
The worst thing about it is its "not quite 100% reliable" at the moment, but hoping the new 1.10 firmware will cure this.
