Sound
Bad, to put it simply. The kick drum mic was impossible to get a good sound out of. Very dead, wimpy, not accurate in low end. The pencil condensers are way too harsh, and the snare/tom mics are half decent at best. My drum recordings all sounded Harsh, lacking presence and clarity. Looking back, I have no idea what I was thinking spending this much on drum mics. Of course they'll sound terrible. I have not used these mics in a live situation, but if you are recording they simply won't cut it.
Features
Pencil condensers have a pad/roll-off, which is handy. Also having clips that clip onto your drum rims is handy too. Too bad they sound like junk.
Ease of Use
Can't get good sounds with it.
Quality
Seems like they can hold up to some whacks from a drum stick. Which mine did encounter.
Value
You get what you pay for. Spend more money if you want a good sound. (D6, sm57, md421, etc) If you want to abuse your ears, then go ahead and get these.
