Expand your sound immensely with Boss's flagship multi-effects unit. With COSM modeling and a new-generation processor, the GT series never sounded better.

Remember that scene in Mary Poppins, wherein the magical British nanny unloads from her carpet-bag a seemingly unending number of household items and room appointments, including a full-length mirror, a floor lamp, and some sort of potted fern, even though there was no physical possibility of all those things fitting into a single carry-on? That's sorta what the BOSS GT-10 Multi-Effects Floorboard is like with guitar effects, except it rocks way harder than even Feed The Birds.

Simply put, why build your stompbox collection piece by piece when you can grab the GT-10 and get hundreds of BOSS-quality guitar effects--including distortions, wah-wahs, reverbs, delays, choruses, flangers, and even a phrase looper--instantly? We have no idea!

Only The Best Tone

Some guitarists may fear that the sheer quantity of tones in multi-effects floorboard trumps the quality of said tones, but not so with the GT-10. As BOSS's flagship multi-effect, the GT-10 is powered by Roland-developed COSM digital processing architecture, or Composite Object Sound Modeling. This revolutionary technology yields effects, amp models and cabinet simulations that not only sound more like the real thing, but respond to your playing dynamics with uncanny realism. Layer on thick distortions without losing pick attack and dynamics; luxuriate in thick choruses, flangers, and rotary speaker effects; experiment with how different effects interact with different amp and speaker cabinet designs. read more Composite Object Sound Modeling models circuit components, not end sounds, so mixed-and-matched effects modules will interact with each other in realistic ways. Compare the overall flexibility and each individual effect quality on the GT-10 to a board full of standalone effects pedals, and you'll realize that with COSM, you lose nothing and gain everything. Plus, with digital output and USB connectivity, the GT-10 is equally suited to live performance or in the recording studio.

A Virtual Effects Sandbox

COSM processing enables some pretty impressive sonic sculpting. The GT-10 lets you set up dual, parallel signal paths, plus it lets you save and recall patches for instant virtual rig switching. You can even have each signal path running into a different amp model, and use the expression pedal to seamlessly blend the two sources--all in stereo. Do you know how much cable patching, MIDI programming, and troubleshooting you'd have to do to set up the same thing with individual pedals? You know what, don't even think about it--it's not worth it. Just let COSM deal with the details, and you keep coming up with crazy ideas.

You're Off To See The Wizard, The Wonderful Wizard Of BOSS

With so many effects at your disposal and so much routing flexibility, you might worry about feeling overwhelmed. Worry not: the GT-10's big, easy-to-read interface is graphically-based, so a simple glance is all it takes to know exactly what's going on. Not only that, but creating your own custom patches is painless with the EZ Tone Wizard, which takes you step by step through assembling the guitar tones and textures of your dreams.

Don't settle for just a few of your favorite things, get the whole kit 'n kaboodle in one amazing-sounding unit that's as rugged as it is flexible. The BOSS GT-10 will make all your wildest guitar effects dreams come true.

Meet the new flagship of the Boss multi-effects family. The GT10, driven by Boss' latest custom-made DSP and proprietary sound-modeling COSM engine, is a floorboard powerhouse that offers natural and musical response as well as a marked improvement in sound quality from previous generations. It's also loaded with an innovative user interface, including EZ Tone, so guitarists can obtain the exact sound they desire in the most intuitive way imaginable.

Features

- Massive tone, advanced effects, and a more natural and musical response
- EZ Tone wizard provides the ultimate easy-to-use, intuitive approach to sound creation based on graphic icons
- Parallel effects chain offers two separate effects paths, including COSM amp models
- Create sound-on-sound loops with onboard Phrase Loop function
- Large LCD and bright LED enable high visibility even in bright sunlight and difficult concert-stage lighting conditions
- USB capability accommodates streaming audio and MIDI data in real time

Advanced Sound

Powered by Boss custom-made new-generation processor and proprietary COSM sound-modeling method, the GT10 ushers in a new era of audio quality for guitarists. Boss' legendary know-how of effects and sound modeling are fully integrated into this new flagship floorboard multi-FX unit. As a result, tone quality is significantly higher, and response to playing dynamics is much more natural and musical. And not just for the stage - the GT10 is also great in the studio thanks to its USB capability and digital output.

EZ Tone Wizard
The GT10 is a pro player's dream, but it's also friendly enough for first timers. The innovative EZ Tone wizard helps you create top-quality sounds quickly. It offers an intuitive approach to sound design based on graphical icons to quickly realize the sounds that guitarists are imaging. No more struggling with parameters on the LCD. In addition to EZ Tone, general operation of GT10 is truly intuitive. The Effects Select buttons, for example, enable instant access to the essential parameters of each effect. The values of the parameters shown can be increased/decreased immediately by turning four rotary encoder knobs below the LCD. Operation is as easy as compact pedals on a pedalboard, as you can quickly jump from any effect to any effect.

More Flexibility and Creative Possibilities
GT10's Parallel Chain feature provides two separate effects paths, including COSM amp models for seamless switching from clean tone to lead and vice versa. The two channels can be used simultaneously, blended by expression pedal, or even switched based on your playing dynamics. The GT10 also comes equipped with Phrase Loop. This inspiring feature is great for idea sketching and practice, as well as in performance with live sound-on-sound looping.

USB Connectivity
Connect the GT10 to a wide range of external gear via its rear-panel USB port, where audio and MIDI data can be streamed digitally to computers, digital recorders, or other compatible devices. Safely transfer precious data to and from the GT10 via USB as well.

Quality Construction
It's a Boss tradition to build gear that looks great, is friendly to use, and stands up to the rigors of the road. The GT10 is no exception, with its strong, stylish design, and six dedicated footswitches plus built-in expression pedal. The high-contrast LCD and LED make using the GT10 a breeze even on dark stages or in glaring sunlight.

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
i purchased it from zzsound and i am using it here in Bangladesh. my guitars sound better and it has inspired me to play more.the free headphone is a great value addition my only concern is that it is suggested to be used with ROLAND rc-120 amp for optimum performance but it should not be so as situation demands a product to be flexible as i need it to perform with various types of amps. it sounded really good through a small [peavy vypyr but i am confused about the amp control feature.

Sound
sound is very realistic, distortion is very strong and can be manipulated according to taste pretty easily.tonal possibilities is infinite. i play an ibanez RG370dx and a cheap stratocaster replica, the options for humbuckers and single coil tones is helpful.it is important to do some initial setting as in calibrating the noise suppressors and choosing the output to get the full tonal characteristic of this amazing processor.the 200 presets are simply outstanding and patches are available to suit your needs @boss website

Features
the wah pedal and the built in looper is awesome, the COSM amp modelling is a nice thing as the natural sound of the instrument comes throuh pretty nicely and you won't even have to make your own tones as pathces are availble and can be easily downloaded

Ease of Use
it is complex but if a little time is spent with it it will surely payoff, take your time with this beautiful read more device, go through the manual and first of all choose the output type and calibrate the noise suppressor other than that the factory setting should suffice

Quality
very sturdy indeed all the switches and interfaces are very user friendly, it is suitable for both stage and studio alike, but i would recommend to use an external foot pedal if you use the wah pedal for long stretches.the display is undoubtedly very handy as it is bright enough for any given scenario........and the E-Z tone wizard is a nice attribute as it is user friendly.

Value
definitely worth the money as all the best BOSS sounds are put into one platter, money well spent indeed as i won't be needing anymore affcts for a very long time

Manufacturer Support
haven't needed yet but the manual is really helpful but it is kinda ambiguous. download patches to suit your taste. BOSS name pronounces quality so i think it will be so in terms of after sales services.the patch list is kick ass.

The Wow Factor
it is beautiful indeed looks very professional and elegant
