"Great Starter Cymbals!"

I have to admit I have never purchased cymbals without hearing them first. The ZBT Hi-Hats are great - a bit thin for my style, but good nonetheless. The tone and sizzle is really good. The 18" Crash/Ride and the 14 Crash although great quality do leave a bit to be desired tone-wise; the Crash/Ride is a bit trashy, as is the 14" Crash. But, for setting up a practice kit - these cymbals can't be beat for the price, plus you've got that great looking Zildjian name for a bit of flash! I have have no doubt as to the durability of Zildjian cymbals, knowing they will last until better cymbals can be budgeted, and then serve me well as back up cymbals! I only gave 5 stars for manufacturer support as I have never needed it, and no option on this review for that.

"Inexpensive starter cymbal pack..that's about it"

I needed a starter cymbal pack to go with my new drum kit these seemed to fit the bill but at a cost in sound. I should have done a little more research. While I know Zildjian usually has a quality product, the low end items leave much to be desired.
Sound
The ride and the hats seem ok but the 14" crash that came with the set sounds like i'm hitting the bottom of a thin frying pan. Very disappointing.
Features
Not much to say...it's a starter set of cymbals.
Ease of Use
As stated earlier, the ride and hats are ok but the crash is a piece of junk.
Quality
Not sure on durability, they seem like thy will hold up for a while if taken care of. They look nice on the kit.
Value
If I knew what I know know I would have either bought the ZHT series or looked into some Sabian B8's. The price is right on these but I wish the quality was just a little better.
Manufacturer Support
Have not had to deal with them as of yet
The Wow Factor
They look pretty with my kit. Other than looks, not much to write home about

"terrible sound"

Do yourself a favor and try cymbals out in a store before purchasing online. I bought these thinking that they would sound halfway decent and they were garbage. It literally sounds like you are smashing a trash can lid. Once I opened the box to try them, I was not able to return for any refund. Now I have $200 worth of crap sitting in my basement. Try before you buy online.
