I was looking for a new bass to gig with for less than $1000. I'd had my eye on this TRBX604 for a while so I decided to pull the trigger. I'm not dissapointed. It was decently set up right out of the box. A bit of string buzz, but a 1/4 turn on the truss rod took care of that. The fit and finish of this bass is spot on. In active the eq is very transparent. Nice deep lows and just the right amout of twang on the top end. In passive mode I actually like the sound it better, Nice flat sound. Clear as a bell. Just tweak the amp to your liking and go. I think the bass plays great. I play hard so low low action doesn;t work for me but medium low does and it was an easy setup on this bass. All in all a great choice in this price range. Highly recommended.
