"Best budget sampler period."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

I mostly use this machine for sequencing short samples and drum sounds therefore, I don't run into the problems associated with this machine such as it taking a long time to save. I mostly use this machine for hiphop production. I'll probably use this machine till I get a triton.
Sound
as far as sound quality it puts out what you put in. I don't think it realy adds any warmth or fatness to the sound like the korg sampler. However samples are fairly clean.
Features
The ribbon control and the various nobs are the standout features of this machine. The nobs can become very loose. The ribbon feature is o.k. nonetheless I don't really use it. The tap tempo would have been better if it stored the tempo rather than making you have to go back after you get it and manually enter it in. The tempo matching isn't all that good either.
Quality
I bought mine used and it has only crashed about three times in a year.
Value
the only machine in this price rage with as much value would have to be the mpc. However, the mpc doesn't have as many effects, polyphony, or memory and, the mpc costs $600 dollars more.
Manufacturer Support
haven't had to use the support but the build quality and manual help you to avoid that.
The Wow Factor
If you are on a budget like me and want a descent sampler buy this product. If I had the money though I would have bought the korg triton.
