Purchased the RSE20 in a pinch to back up an sg with problems and sorry to say the Revstar took its place permanently…sorry Gibson. The nut slots were cut a tad bit high as well as the action was slightly high, but the out of the box setup was very good, fret edges and fretboard was rolled nicely. The pickups took a slight bit of getting used to, but coming from an sg with P90’s the Revstar has a bit more umph to it and the dry settin(high pass filter) was awesome…literally like taking a les Paul to telecaster territory….some may not notice a difference but it’s significant through a tube amp with mild to mid gain…high gain it’s useless. All in all…the Revstar took over the spot of a Gibson that I’ve gigged for 22 years…yep, we’ll see how it holds up to 7 dates in the next 3 weeks…but I’m sold in them…no I need the P90 version. Buy one before the price goes up…you won’t regret it.
