This is a great choice for the semi-pro who wants a well-built, good sounding bass for a minimal outlay of money. It certainly ranks high against the competition at it's price point.
Sound
A nice "modern" sound that fits in well with heavier music in a band setting. It doesn't sound like a Fender Jazz, but not everything should. I haven't had the chance to record with it as of yet.
Features
Lightweight without feeling flimsy, due to the alder body. The monorail bridge is wonderful for adjustment and tone. 35" scale really makes a difference on a low B-string.
Quality
Well-build with quality parts, but the satin finish is more prone to marks than a gloss finish.
Value
A great value for the money. I'm considering purchasing a second for backup/alternate turing or fretless conversion.
The Wow Factor
The body beveling on both the body and headstock are a great modern look. I adore the flat silver finish I purchased, but the black and blue models lack "oomph".
