I swore I'd never spend this kind of $$$ on a hi hat stand. But I played a HHS9D briefly and was amazed. So buttery smooth! I'm older now and my left food isn't as consistent as it used to be. This stand is so effortless, my foot is back in business. Haven't even made all the adjustments yet.Beautiful design and engineering. I have other high end stands with the same adjustments, but they're not as easy to use or well made as this Yamaha. The 2-legs can be adjusted as needed to make this as sturdy as a 3-leg stand.The key feature to me is how smooth and responsive it is no matter how much foot pressure I apply. No, you don't need a hi hat stand as good as the HHS9D, but it's totally worth the price if you can afford it. Thanks to zZounds easy payment plan, I could get it.
