"If you need occasional keyboard, synth, horns, violin sounds, etc, BUY this."

This is a terrific little unit to have in your bag of guitar tricks. It won't replace a true keyboard player, or a horn or string section, but it does a nice job of adding diversity to songs. The cable that connects this pickup to the G50 controller can be a little quirky at times, so treat it gently.
Sound
Tracks very fast, way faster than the older Roland I previously had. You do however have to be careful of your playing technique, watching out not to hit strings accidentally. They will play full volume if they are touched loud enough to trigger the Yamaha G50.
Features
Has a switch to use just the synth, a blend of synth and normal guitar or guitar sound alone.
Quality
As well made as you can get for a universal fit. I wish the special cable mounted with a strain relief. I try to be really careful. Havn't tried it on the road yet, but with a little caotion it should hold up well. If you're a slammer or stage diver, this may not be for you.
