This category is a hypothetical prognosis, and only time will tell where I will be in one year with this. I can only say that I am now the center of attention with this sound setup, and I am a very satified customer.
Sound
I use the Yamaha 68S with the Yamaha S115V PA speakers in my jam room. I play my computer MP3's through a M-Audio Delta 44 sound card. Talk about quality! I did have "regular" Klipsch surround sound speakers and a subwoofer. My Yamaha PA system totally out-classed that setup, and I now hear sounds and effects that I had never heard before. The Yamaha 68S consolidates equipment you would need to buy and set up separately. And it has great effects and a bunch of different possible setup possibilities. I can play my bass, my MP3's, a couple of electribes, a cd player, and still have at least two mics.
Features
There are many features to use to enhance and control your inputs and outputs.
Quality
There are many features and many possible combinations for you to use. I wanted to get into a PA system that I can have my buds over to jam, as well as play computer MP3's and CD's, and maybe someday start a DJ business. The Yamaha 68S and its namesake speakers, the Yamaha S115V, provide you with just that!
Value
Think about it, a power mixer with effects and an equalizer...yes it's a 10
Manufacturer Support
Yamaha will answer even the "dumbest" of questions, and back the 68S with a two-year warranty, although I purchased ann additional one-year warranty...
The Wow Factor
The Yamaha 68S has made me a better DJ, a better player ,and inticed me to bone up on all aspects of PA systems, home recording, and mixing. I recommend you also buy the new DVD on live sound reinforcement, a three hour tutorial on PA systems and live show sound wiring.
