I have alot of experience with alesis, roland, & yamaha kits so I am well versed on being able to adjust pad sensitivity and crosstalk in within module settings. I had this kit for 3 weeks and i could not manipulate any combination of settings to where it stopped having cross talk between the toms and the cymbals. It's standard practice for me to customize the ride on my electric kits to ensure there is a distinct bell, bow, and edge and it was just impossible to do this effectively without the precense of some strange dull "pong/pang" type sound that surfaced out of the ride bow that should have had a nice clear stick defined sound. This was a huge disappointment and really made it tough to play without worry of triggering that terrible noise.maybe....i might have been able live with the cross talk and the awful sounds that came from the ride in rehearsal but by the time I had accepted I couldn't adjust any setting to my liking the snare pad/trigger went out, just completely stopped working. I was able to return the kit....thankfully because for such a simple kit this is way too pricey especially for what I experienced. I would hands down recommend any price tier of roland or alesis over this kit.I went back to my trusty roland td-11 and even though the module is much older the sounds, adjustability, and ability to resist crosstalk is 10 to 1 better than the dtx. Thanks to zZounds for their quick response in getting me a return label to send this back.
