I have one of the older models and love it. I own some very expensive keyboards but have this one in my foyer and must say it sounds and feels as good as any keyboard I've ever played.....I highly recommend it

I received this Digital piano very quickly from Zzounds. It arrived in perfect condition and everything on it worked. Sound quality is very good. I wear hearing aids and they made this thing sound like crap when I first played through the speakers. The fault was my hearing aids as they are programmed to boost treble due to a "dead spot" in my hearing. With headphones on (and no hearing aids) this thing sounds beautiful. The hammer action keys have a bit of a thump to them but no squeaking or obnoxious sound. If you could mute a real piano, it would probably sound the same. I hook it to my iMac for a test with Garage Band. It worked perfectly with no drivers installed. I will say that I prefer the most of the sounds on the DGX-650 over those on Garage Band, but it did add a few good ones. I haven't tested the sequencer yet, but I will soon. The only thing I can complain about is the settings procedure. You have to press a button and then scroll though all the choices to find what you want. There are no shortcuts for this. Not a real biggie, but changing reverb or touch requires going through this every time. It WILL remember the last thing you selected if you don't turn off the keyboard. This sucker is heavy weighing in around 49lbs. Get some help putting in on the stand. The stand is super simple to put together, so there's no concern there. Overall, I give it a 4.5.

I never thought I would get an instrument of this quality at this price point. The feel of the weighted keys is awesome! The sound is even better. We use this mainly in default grand piano mode, but it can do so much more. All of the voices that I have tried sound great, the internal speakers are well matched to the system and plenty loud, I have a PA system set up in the same room and haven' t even bother to plug it in yet. It really does sound better than most used "real pianos" anywhere near this price, and fits neatly in a corner against the wall. If your looking at this piano buy it, you won't be disappointed. Also I have made several major purchases from zZounds and will continue to do so as they rock!

I came to zZounds on the recommendation of my brother who purchased a keyboard a couple of years ago. I owned a Wurlitzer organ back in the late 70's and took lessons for several years. Due to various reasons I sold the organ and hadn't played until recently. I was looking at this model and thought I may be "over buying" at the price, but I am not at all sorry. It took me about two days to get back to playing. I can read music and chords and have had a great time. I am not an expert on keyboards and I read quite a few reviews and made the plunge. I look at keyboards as the more modern version of 1900's organs. I love the ease of playing and all the features this model offers. I had the stand together in less than an hour and mounted the keyboard by myself even though it recommended two people. Not a problem for me. I've had this keyboard a little over a month and it is awesome.

Wow this digital piano is full of features still have not played with all of them yet. The sound is great for the price. The more I play on it the more I fall in love with it. I got the 3 pedal unit LP7A to go with the digital piano for that feel of a piano. It was not hard to put together at all 15 min.

Not to often in this world of "there is one on every street corner" approach to customer service and support do you come across a company like Zzounds. Their actions in making "music" available to everyone is both refreshing and encouraging! When you buy a Yamaha product, you can't go wrong - the only thing that tops the excellence of the DGX-650 is the group that gave my little girl a chance to chase her "14 year old" dreams...thank you Zzounds from the bottom of my heart which my little girl holds in her hands....

expected more quality sound from an 88 key board. volume must be all the up to truly enjoy it.co. sent the wrong stand , looks really cheap compared to the pics.
