Extraordinarily well-designed. Aside from the convertible boom that Yamaha invented a long time ago, this stand has greeat features. From the new gearless tilting head down to the inserts in the interior tubes to keep them from rattling, this stand has everything. Mor importantly, what you can't see in photos is the incredibly Yamaha machining and durability. Immediately when you pick one up and start making adjustments, you know from the weight and feel this thing is going to last forever.

Parts are precision made and all adjustments are super smooth. Rock solid for years to come.
