I`ve had the xotic bb for 8 years and it`s the only drive pedal that has never been replaced since it was put on my board. I was just about to get another one so I could run one at low gain when I decided to try the SL. Great decision, this thing kicks, and it does mid high gain perfect . You have just the right amount of tweakzoids on it. I get kudos on my amp tone and have to show people its pedals doing the drive tones, great job Xotic.

Hot Rodded Super Lead Plexi Sound. For the price and size you can't beat it. I've tried A LOT of overdrive and distortion pedals. Cuts through the Mix just like a marshall amp. Plenty of gain on tap and it comes on strong kind of early but not too early. Goes from 0 to heavily distorted almost fuzz like without getting muddy or overly boomy on the bass. Does classic rock, punk, old metal, possibly even can get a modern metal sound with the right guitar or pedal boosting it. Cleans up pretty well, I own others that do this a little better, but this one really sounds like a true marshall compared to them. Sometimes it sounds a lot better, and this one has plenty of gain. Plus this one plays better with my other pedals like delays and such too. Plenty of volume on tap to use as a solo or distortion boost. Plenty of Range on the Tone to go from dark and muffled, to painfully bright Internal Dip Switches have quite a bit of control. do wish they were on the outside, but this would've made the pedal bigger and I love how small it is. Plus, once you find your sound,you wont want to change it and the tone control and gain will do the rest. I haven't tried it at 18V but im sure it will make everything sound twice as good. Super Well Built. Super small, Sounds huge. Honestly, surprised me how good this pedal really is. Especially, for the price.
