This compressor is fantastic. One of the smoothest and cleanest sounding out of the 20+ compressors in my patch bay. You can get close to original cl1b and la-2a units. I would say the cl1b is a little darker and more well rounded in the low bass frequencies and the WA-1b has a bit more presence in the mid-high frequency range. It sounds great on vocals, bass, and lead instruments. This is my 3rd Warm audio processing unit and I will definitely be buying more from them. Everything I own from them has sounded fantastic.

The Warm Audio WA-1B is amazing.
