I have collected a lot of analog pres overtime and collected pres ITB. There is a reason why analog is always the best option. This pre is probably the cleanest out of all the pres I have. When I push this units input gain there’s this nice sweet saturation that you can hear but the source material still maintains this clarity. This is great on everything. I prefer it on drums and guitars. The build is very solid. I find the orange color to be very attractive and it stands out from everything else In my rack. If you want quality at a price point that’s reachable here is a great preamp for you.

I've been using the Warm Audio WA12 MKII for a few months now and it's been an absolute revelation for my recording setup. The warm, rich tone it imparts to vocals is simply stunning. I've recorded 6 rap vocals and a singer so far, and the mixing process has been a breeze. The preamp adds a depth and character that makes the vocals stand out without overpowering the mix.One of the things I appreciate most about the WA12 MKII is its versatility. It can handle a wide range of vocal styles, from soft and intimate to loud and aggressive. The preamp also has a great signal-to-noise ratio, so you can be sure that your recordings will be clean and free of hiss.In addition to its excellent sound quality, the WA12 MKII is also very well-built. It's a sturdy piece of equipment that feels like it will last for years to come. The preamp also has a classic design that looks great in any studio. If you're looking for a versatile, affordable preamp that can deliver professional-quality results, I highly recommend the WA12 MKII. It's a must-have for any serious recording enthusiast.

This is my first ever preamp I have bought and I am absolutely blown away with the impact it had on my recordings. This and a little tape saturation will really kind of add life to the mix you are working on.
