This pedal has a lot of really versatile settings to it, not just for country music. I've had a lot of good comments on my tone since I put this pedal on my board. Lots of gain on tap and has a great EQ; the mid contour and presence switches add a lot to this pedal. I wouldn't call this a "plug and play" pedal; it took me a few minutes of playing it through my Peavey Classic 50 212 to get it where I wanted it and I'm having a little bit of difficulty with getting it to respond to the different strengths of my pick attack. Overall, a sweet sounding drive pedal that you can use from low to high gain and bright to dark. Great for any genre of music.
Musical Background:
Played guitar for 10 years, also play bass, mandolin, and uke. Play at large church and write/perform country music.
Musical Style:
Country, worship

I'm a Tele player, so this pedal complements the tone of my guitar and also broadens it. Makes my Fender Super Champ X2 sound mighty. Costs a bit more than some other popular overdrives, but wow. Chords don't turn to mush, dynamics don't get swallowed up. Goes from slight crunch to fairly heavy OD (not metal). Very pleased.
Musical Background:
Playing since age 8. Guitar, Bass, Keyboards. Used to play pro, now home duffer.
Musical Style:
50s and 60s rock, country.

"The Pedal that Breaks the Sound Barrier"

So you're thinking, "I don't want to shell out that kind of money for a drive pedal." Content yourself with lesser boxes in the name of economy. I will, with my Wampler Paisley Drive, dwell among the greats and gaze placidly on mere mortals. The first time I plugged in my Paisley Drive, Clapton came over just to "hang out". After he left Brent Mason called to urge me to trade it for his pedal. Meanwhile Brad Paisley and Doug Seven walked by and gave me the thumbs up through the window. This pedal sounds great at all levels of overdrive. It gives good country bite, and also good blues grind. Very versatile. Doesn't sound like a pedal; sounds like Greg Koch's "conflagration of the night and of the day." Glad I bought it.
Musical Background:
Nostalgic, past-it music duffer
Musical Style:
50s and 60s rock, country, blues.
