I bought the Belle because I wanted clean sustain, a bit of grit, but not anything like a "distortion" or "fuzz" pedal. My issue is usually getting my sound clean enough, so I use a 6L6 powered amp with a lot of headroom and I needed the right pedal. The Belle is absolutely perfect! I can get any sound from clean sustain (push the bass knob all the way up, back the color knob off to about 10 o'clock and dial the gain back to about 8 o'clock and you've got the sweetest sustain. Tweak the bass and color knobs to change the shape and tone and push the gain from clean to crunch. Even at its dirtiest it just gives the tastiest breakup and delicious perfect crunch! I could not be happier, it does EXACTLY what I bought it to do. I liked it so much I bought the Wampler Pantheon also!
