I have several amps that I love. I decided I need a Vox after I sold my AC 30 but I didn't want the Vox sound bad enough to spend 1300 bucks. Originally I looked at the VT40 which is definitely a great amp. I stumbled upon the AV series and decided to give it a try. It is classified as a modeling amp and claims to produce fender and Marshall sounds. While the sounds are great it produces still in a Vox way. All in all if you want Fender clean get a Fender. Vox warm clean and Vox delay are unmatched (even through pedals) in my opinion; this amp delivers both. Try it out and if you like get it through zZounds. Been doing business with zZounds for almost 7 years and they are always great.

This new model has those extra features for Loop inputs & Spkr. out, combined with 2 conventional channels that are easy to set for taste & style, then play with the other 4 flick switches for a Pleasing change of pace. No Fuzzy over drive, just good usable output, as it stands, & not to mention start adding your peddles for over the top enjoyment !!! No memory settings ~ once you experiment with voice options, it's no big deal to remember what you like best. This amp is quiet (with good Cables) no dancing around for unwanted Hums!! Stock speaker is very effective & your choice to opt out for an extension cab to suit your taste, let's this guy work for you !! Cabinet design is different, so be aware of all the unprotected edges, corners & grill cloth. It's almost like a piece of Furniture !! I also have the VT40+, which is more work to get to learn what's worth saving & to cancel out the unwanted extra effect sounds, that are preset from Factory, so this is the big difference that I like with a simplified amp knob assortment, for getting a Smile on ones' Face, because you are getting what you want Quickly !!

Ex semi pro Guitarist, full time into part time ~ into Almost retirement~Active again for my own Enjoyment !!

Musical Style:

Old time Rn'R ~ Funky Country & Southern Swamp Country ~ Blues & tasty finger picking for melodic stuff.
