I really like the Amplug. It's the perfect solution for me when I want to practice while at work or even at home. I can just pick up my guitar, throw on some headphones and I'm in my own world.
Sound
The JS Amplug has a decent sound, though not as good through the headphones as the Youtube videos that I watched using this before buying. One can get a decent clean tone by turning down the gain. The distortion is a little anemic, but this is the JS version and not the metal Amplug.
Features
The volume, gain, and built in delay make for good variety of tones for practicing.
Ease of Use
The Amplug is very simple to use with few controls creating good sounds. There's almost no learning curve. It's a plug and play.
Quality
The outside cover is medium quality plastic that I don't think would take alot of abuse. It's a little odd that a JS Amplug would barely fit into the plug on my Ibanez JS guitar.
Value
Good price for a decent item.
The Wow Factor
The Amplug is the perfect device for what it's designed for. I wouldn't use it as a sound on a gig, but it's perfect for practicing while at work or on the road.
