I was looking for a compact amp that would travel with me and my Soloette travel guitar. I needed a unit that would allow silent headphone practice and the mixing with backing tracks. The Amplug does these things and so I'll keep it. I also wanted clean sound and that's OK too. I find the amplification to be pretty anemic if I keep the sound clean so I'm forced to turn both the guitar and the Amplug volume up full blast. Also, the Amplug operates with a very obvious hiss which is rather annoying. In all, it does what it's advertised to do but not in any outstanding way and the price is right on the edge of causing me to return it. Unfortunately, I think it's the only game in town. Everything else is bigger and/or more expensive.

"All it is supposed to be, not more"
I got what I paid for: the ability to play through ear buds. Could be so much better, like with Bluetooth and crunchy distortion. Oh well. I still like it and am glad I got it.
