"The Last Amp You Will Ever own...."

I will never buy another amp, unless I buy another one of these. I would also like to buy the extention cabinet.
Sound
After owning various old Fenders and Marshalls over the years, I wanted one amp that truly sounds like all of them. After much research I bought the Vox and the footswitch and am still very impressed with the sounds from this amp. I use it mostly for recording. I use the direct stereo outputs and it eliminates the need for mikes or effects. It has it all. It beat's my Line 6 Pod as far as ease of use and variety of effects, plus it has a great tuner. As far as the live sound, I played a high school auditorium and did'nt need a mic. It truly rocked.
Features
Footswitch is worth the money if you play live. I wish it came with a cover. I found one on ebay.
Quality
This is really a cool looking amp. I bought one of the early models with the open back. It is well built.
Value
Worth the price. If you were to calculate the cost of 16 amps and the all the effects you would have to buy to get the same sounds, this is a far better deal.

The Wow Factor
I like the vintage AC-30 looks of this amp. This is the perfect gigging amp for a cover band. It has ALL the sounds.

I actually bought this amp used from a Guitar Center in Dallas, TX back in 2008. I didn't have much money back then, but that day was one of the days when the guitar stars fell in line and shone down on me. I found this amp and a Fender MIM Telecaster that had fallen off one of their wall mounts and earned a pretty scar on the bottom of the guitar. Like, a patch of the wood was almost chipped off. I got both for $220. I still have them, and only had to replace the one tube in the AD120VTX last year. It's got all of the tones on literal tap (if you find the VC-12 footswitch), and they all sound better than any other modeling amp in production today. Tone for tone, I like the Vox even over the Katana. It doesn't have any of the fizziness of the Boss, and stands toe to toe with the Fender Tone Master amps in terms of solid state compression. The "Marshall" options sound like Marshalls, American black and tweed options sound like Fender black face and tweed amps. Included are great effects like tremolo, reverb (many options), phase, chorus, flanger, and much more. Throw in the programmable presets, and you have an amp that will cover any style at the push of a button. I finally found the VC-12 footswitch (looks more like a pedalboard) on Reverb, so now everything is literally just a toe tap away, but with wah and volume expression pedals on board. I can't say it enough: you can program an entire show, album, or gig into this amp and have it all a tap away. And it sounds great! Enough power to play a big outdoor stage, and attenuation to let you play in your bedroom. This amp is much better than the current Vox Valvetronix offerings. I don't know why they discontinued it or didn't continue to develop the tech behind it. They could be ages beyond the Fender Tone Master amps, which are good, but still not up to their respective namesakes.

Sound
I played all of the other brands and this VOX is amazing. Don't worry about the one person who ranked this product with poor ratings. If you are not absolutely thilled with this amp. Your crazy. If you can find this amp anywhere to play you will fall in love with it. I am more than pleased. Buy this amp you will never regret it.
Value
It has every tone you could think of. You can tune in any tone you would like from crunch to clean all options are better than I had expected

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

forever
Sound
I have been searching for years for an amp that can give you the awesome rock tones and tremendous clean tones and i finally found one. This VOX blows the line 6 and the marshalls away with no problem. The live performance possibilities are endless and instant switching perfect. It sound GREAT no matter whwere you take it. This all tube modeler is the head of the class!!! Finally
Features
No accessories are included. The only thing you really need is the vc-4 or the vc-12 footswitch. everything else is on board. so i guess all the accesories you would need if you bought another amp would be quite costly(chorus, flanger, delay, phaser and built in tuner) these all come with the vox. i love the leslie effect. it sounds awesome!!! I rate this amp a perfect 10 all the way!!!Great job VOX!!!!!!!!
Quality
No worries with this baby!!!!!!!!!
Value

"Every sound a guitar god could ask for in a single package!"

Although I will probably not due it, I have seriously toyed with the idea of selling off 3 or 4 of my other amps....this baby is that good.
Sound
The amp emulates other amp sounds to a "T". It is rapidly becoming my favorite amp and I am now considering getting the footswitch. The THD Univalve hasn't been turned on in weeks and the Atomic reactor is also gathering dust.
Features
The chicken head knobs make switching sounds a breeze. Tons of amp cabs and effects to choose from. My fav is the power switch on back that allows you to go from 1 watt stereo up to 60 watts stereo per channel. Full bore rocking sounds and headphone volumes up to ear shattering loudness.
Quality
I had to rate this one down a notch. The first one I had apparently had a bad modeling board. The unit would add or subtract effects ramdonly and the volume would jump all over the place. The unit was replaced fairly quickly (under 2 weeks) with another new in the box unit and the second one has performed flawlessly.
Value
I bought a floor sample at a ridiculously cheap price only to find out it was defective....but then replaced by a new in the box unit for the same price. So yeah....it was an incredible value!!!!
Manufacturer Support
Local dealer was super. Made sure I got the replacement amp in a respectable time frame and threw in some sets of strings and other items to make up for my inconvience. Don't know about Vox/Korg directly but they did get the replacement amp out quickly to my local dealer.
The Wow Factor
Compact, sexy styling (if you like the VOX look) and fairly light to carry around.

"This thing is a MONSTER!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This amp has all the bells & whistles you could ever want. I does it all! It's also, STEREO, which works well with my rick 12 string (it has a stereo output jack). I've experimented with this amp quite a bit over the years. & it has never disappointed. It has a power selection knob on the back, where you can "dial it down" for indoor venues, or crank it up, & go "balls to the wall" for outdoor venues! On to the foot pedal: I hope you have a degree in Astrophysics! It is NOT intuitive or user friendly! the user's manual is as thick as a phone book! I've had it for 20 years, & still don't know how to use it that well! I'm no dope, my circle of musician friends includes doctors & scientists. If they had a hard time figuring it out, I don't feel so bad!

Only problem I have had is the Handle vibrates, but it can be fixed.
Sound
This is a well built amp and the effects rock Vox is no joke people look at them as more like a bluesy type amp. But this amp has it all British Metal sound American Metal sound to much to list well worth looking into I suggest the 12 foot pedal. Cole

"a good thing even at the price"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

so far so good but I'm always looking for something better now that I'm grown and can afford new toys when I want them.
Sound
sound is great, if you can't get tone out of this rig, get some more lessons. the problem is not in the amp.
Features
foot switch board is nice but not essential. cover would be nice. casters probably too much to hope for. still all in all not bad....
Ease of Use
reading the manual "pilots handbook" very helpfull. could do without the high school smart assed attempts at being cool.
Quality
so far so good.
Value
usually when I have bought an EXPENSIVE amp I end up regreting the purchase, but so far so good

"Almost DOA."

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars

I'm not waiting too much longer before I give up on receiving a replacement and searching for something else.
Sound
Wide variety of possibilities with this amp, too bad it only lasted a week.
Features
Did not included anything. I didn't have it in working order long enough to go out and spend $279 on the foot pedal.
Quality
I had the amp for a week before it died. The LEDs all flashed off and on a couple of times and it was dead. The trouble shooting procedures that are supplied are the type written for morons, i.e. is it plugged in?, nothing useful.
Value
It ain't worth a plugged nickel if it don't work!
Manufacturer Support
Company is totally unreachable, must go through dealer. This is my 6th week waiting for a replacement.
The Wow Factor
I wanted this baby because of it's versatility, but having it give up the ghost after a week has tempered this a bit.

The amp when it works is amazing, but it can't be trusted. I have to find something else now when I thought I had the amp to end all amps.
Sound
This amp sounds amazing. Everything I wanted in an amp. Les Pauls and Strats sound amazing through this thing. Great speakers!
Features
The effects are top notch. Really just fell in love with the quality of the effects and ease of use.
Ease of Use
Not hard to work this amp. Easy to save your dialed in settings.
Quality
Here's the kicker. Bought it brand new and after playing at medium volume the thing just quit. It took 2 months to get new computer boards from Korg because the service techs couldn't find the problem. Now I just got it back and it happened again. What good is an amp it you can't rely on it.
Value
If it was reliable I would I would give it a ten
Manufacturer Support
there is virtually no support from Vox. Everything was handled through the dealer
The Wow Factor

Features

Value
