""Best" amp I have ever had!"
VOX
AC15H1TV (Alnico Blue)
I have never reviewed any gear or guitar amp before……but this one is really special! I'll try to make it really fast an direct. It sounds big! Just select the bright and bass position desired and may have a really bold and full sound that you will never tell it's just a 1x12 combo! I just doesn't sound like a combo. It's full of harmonics and it drives really well when pushed. Both channels are great! It's a little heavy but nothing that would bother…sounds huge……beautiful drive and clean….no need for pedals….loud enough for gigs……No master volume (so be careful! Much more manageble in terms of volume than a 50W Plexi though)……..Good quality but I wouldn't give a 10 for some details on the finish.
I've had Marshalls (the best one was a 1987x), Oranges, Fenders, Mesa Boogies…..and so….. They always had some issue like sounding thin, being too heavy….too loud….too expensive or they just didn't sound right. This one sounds right (perfect), is not that heavy, not that big, sounds huge, not too loud (loud enough), really simple, no need for pedals….it just takes 30 seconds for you to deal a great tone!
*Tried the AC15HW and didn't like it (to my ears, the Heritage sounded way better than the new HW - maybe it was just a bad model, not the series)

I wanted a 15 watt amp with some depth and clarity. A good step up from what I was using.
I have a Velocette (10") and a Gibson GA15RV (12") but the former lacks low end (Great amp to carry around though) and the latter can be a little harsh (good amp still). I am playing mostly a Nash Tele with Lollars. What a sound thru this amp. The Vox is QUIET and can get quite LOUD. Quality of sound is excellent. From a guy who has been playing since about 1968.
Sound
The previous 'reviewer' is posting on multiple forums re: his dislike of this amp. His review speaks for itself. He is a moron apparently. I have the Mahogany version of this amp and it sounds GREAT. So warm yet clear as a bell. Controls are way effective. Build quality is quite good.
Features
Features are excellent. What more do you need? Tone-shaping possibilities are numerous.
Ease of Use
Easy. Forget about it.
Quality
Solid build. Wood is very nice. No problem.
Value
Yes, absolutely.
Manufacturer Support
No.
The Wow Factor
It has some sex appeal yes. Sound is most important - sex appeal a bonus.

I was satisifed with this amp for about two hours when I was buring in the tubes and on the 3rd hour thats when this amp went CRAP. Then got the other new amp and was satisifed about another 2 hrs and on the 3rd hour of burning the tubes in the amp took another CRAP.
Read North coast Music on how they sell their Vox amps and have no problems with these amps cause they no how these amps are and how they are to sound.
Sound
My 1st amp of this was bad so I had to send it back, I receive another one week later and I never got to hear it or really use it. I started to burn the tubes in and on foing on the 3rd hour the tube was rattleing so bad and the hissing and the humming coming out of this amp was unreal. I was told that's how the amp is to sound, well if this amp is to sound like this good luck guys that are out there playing gigs with this amp.
Features
No Accessories, nothing useful on this amp could not hear that much diffrence with any of the switches unless you went from 15 watts to 7.5 watts then it was quite. All you need on this amp is a volume knob the others are usless.
Ease of Use
Sound was hard to hear do to the hissing the humming the tubes shaking and rattleing so could not hear any good sound and don't forget this is my 2nd amp of this H G.
I wish it would have lasted long enough to hear my ric's and gibson but no way the amp was junk.
Quality
Cabinet was mad good, but for the rest of the amp is junk don't forget this is made in CHINA and no outstanding work went into this amp it might say HANDWIRE but if thats the sound you get out of this amp for being Handwire go back to just wire this amp up. I am a big Vox fan but there is nothing good about this amp that I like and there is no way you can buy two lemmons.
Value
This Amp is not worth $1,400 they should be selling this amp for about $300.00 and no more the $300.00 is for the nice speaker.
Manufacturer Support
The company was good they work with you and I sent the amp back and receive another one with in a week and would give the company a 10.
This amp needs service and repairs and hope they don't sale it until it's fix.
The Wow Factor
Nice looking amp but it's like a new car it looks great but when you open the hood there is a junk engine in it.
