Received this steel last week and have been enjoying it. The finish is beautiful, much more than I expected. I am learning to play once again since it's been many years. I need to figure out where to pick since the pickups are close together. I am using C6 tuning and the 6th string hits the pickup. The original 6th will have to be replaced.

There is some "car trim" on the side of the treble side. It is not objectionable but it cannot be seen in the images. The image on the site is as good as it gets but I am glad it is not like the design in the video or having the knobs in the image used in Specs. I love this slab. It is missing this detail from its profile.

I couldn't be more pleased. I qualified for Play As You Pay. I am the owner of this great mahogany instrument and I paid out $ 85. I think the pups are great, hum bucking soap bars. The finish is beautiful. I am in open G for the blues and it tuned up and the action is good allowing left and right hand damping. The controls are damn nice looking, matching the pups. The by-pass is useful for a clean signal to break up, like Candy Crusher. Yes this is candy. I have a by-pass on a Turner Model T and I love that feature. I would say it is all that and a little more

I had to send this guitar back only because I'm having a double total know replacement in the next few weeks and would be unable to really get into this outstanding beautiful instrument. I'm just starting out in playing Lap Steel guitar. And just couldn't let this instrument lay around for months before I would be close on picking it up and staring to play it. As for Zzounds and its sales staff and customer service, all companies should take a page out of there book. The best ever, and yes I will be shopping again with them.
