I have 3 of the older Ultimate mic stands and loved them so I recently purchased this new one. Actually it is built very solid and works very well. Previously I had purchased another company's stand which was cheaper and it did not hold up at all. You put it at the hight you want and it would slowly slide down. Not so with this Ultimate Support LIVESB stand. It stays put!

I've played since Jr. High. I play piano, organ, trumpet, guitar and bass guitar.
