I have always gotten along well with Ultimate support stands, to this point I have not had one fail me. Although I do now use some totem types for some events, I still require the height and stability that only a wide tripod base can supply. These go up high enough that it takes the place of having to fly my mains on a low truss position for some larger venues. They have the expected feeling of quality that I have found in my other Ultimate Support stands, and as these are my first with air assist, I now wonder why I did not purchase them much sooner! With a little modification I believe I can make another set work with my lighter 15’ truss system, as opposed to the manual lift and lock that I now go through to get it in the air. As always Zzounds shipping seemed to get them here as quick as if they had a warehouse next door. I did purchase one “open box” and it came with a pretty good ding on one of the legs, but I was able to flip it around, never to be seen again, and well worth the $$ savings. I have never needed manufacturer support with any of my stands, but I have ordered a few parts along the way, and never had any issues.
