The Apollo Solo is like a secret weapon for my studio. I've been pairing it with my Black Lion Revolution, and it's been a game-changer.The Good: * UAD plugins sound insane: Seriously, these emulations are the real deal. No more CPU strain, just pure analog magic. * Tiny but mighty: This thing is super portable, so I can easily record on the go. * Killer sound: Everything sounds incredibly clean and detailed. The Not-So-Good: * Input/output count is limited: Not ideal for a full band recording. * Pricey: Both the interface and the plugins can add up.With the Revolution, it's a dream team. The Solo handles all the heavy lifting with UAD, freeing up my computer. Plus, I get access to the whole UAD library without buying extra licenses. Latency is also super low, which is a huge plus.Bottom line: If you can swing it, the Apollo Solo is a worthy investment. It's a fantastic tool for any serious musician.

I’ve had this interface sicnce August of 2023. I had a Presonus 96, a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 3gen, and SSL 2, I also had the Audient ID14 which is a quality interface but I wanted a more analog sound, and I wanted a sphere LX microphone and The LUNA software so withe Heritage bundle I basically bought plugin bundles and got a free interface. Now it is a noticeable improvement over the Presonus and Focusrite but not The SSL or the Audient. The set was a little complicated but the customer Support at universal audio is a one they may take awhile to respond initially but once they do they have solved every issue I had encountered. You have to buy a thunderbolt cable with it. Feature wise it’s got good features and it is built nice and sturdy. The stock preamps are nothing note worthy and the unison preamps are ok but you need a quality microphone and a hardware preamp to get a noticeable improvement. I think this thing is mainly for the plug-ins for someone who knows how to use them. It’s only compatible with Mac so if you use PC it won’t do you any good. It works great with a Mac though. Would I recommend? Not really I’m already trying to upgrade and It isn’t to a more expensive Apollo. Though I’m looking to spend the price of the next tier Apollo. If you like Apollo though it is a good bang for your buck but it’s not a game changer IMO maybe in the right hands.
