I've played for 40 years and have owned more gear than I can remember. Since 2019, I've used the Boss GT1000 as my main amp tone. It's been great. That said, as most guitarists, I'm always trying to improve my craft and tone. Decided to do a bit of a side-by-side with the GT, Opus, Walrus ACS1 and Humboldt Simplifier. Without question, the Opus won, in a big way. I'm using the Opus as a complete amp modeler and it has integrated perfectly into my rig. I'm running a MIDI setup and "channel switching" the Opus that way. MIDI implementation was simple. Please note, if you decide to purchase this pedal, you need to give yourself time with it. It's basically an amp, cab, power stage, mic and equalizer. You WILL tweak but the result will be the tone in your head. At the price of a garbage solid state amp, you can't beat it.
Sound
Overall sound quality is perfect. It sounds like (and feels/responds like) the amp it models. Incredible, real compression and touch-sensitivity.
Features
My favorite feature is the preamp tones.

Not only does it have a great sound, but it is so immediate. It's so fast to get sound you'd easily gig/record with if that was its limit, but It only takes a minute more to get a 'wow' sound. Another thought, just as important--maybe more so, is that it has a great 'natural' compression that you can feel even at low volumes. It's kinda wild, much like a tube amp; it doesn't need much gain to "sing." Gigging volumes, oh man.
