When I received my guitar, I discovered right off that the 5 way switch only worked on 2 settings. I talked with zZounds about it and they told me the repair would be under warranty and I could work it out with them. They did offer to let me return it, but I bought the last one of that specific model and would have had to pick something else at a different price.I registered my guitar with Taylor and called them and I was provided the name of a shop closest to me that was Taylor certified. This shop is 2 hours away from me.I called the shop.. people are great.. but have had a horrible experience working with Taylor to get them to send the parts needed. Taylor argued about what was needed to make the fix but finally agreed to send what the shop wanted after much 'back and forth' communications.When part arrived at the shop, I drove 2 hours with my guitar with the plan being I could wait the hour while they made the fix. When I got to the shop, it was discovered the part delivered was the one Taylor initially argued was needed... but the shop was correct and my guitar could not be repaired.I left my guitar with the shop and drove the 2 hours home. The shop has been trying to get the correct part but has so far not been able to get it in... I'm writing all of this just to make the recommendation to test the switch right away and if you have issues... better to return to zZounds and let them deal with it.It is a great playing and sounding guitar (for the settings that worked).. very comfortable to play.
