This little microphone is probably the best investment I've ever made. Godd sound quality, in stereo, with an adjustable pattern. I've had one for years, and just ordered another one to have on hand, in case they quit making them. It is a bit light on Bass response, but otherwise a great little tool. And the battery (1 AA) does last for years, really.

Jam at home mostly, and record live acts.
