"Burnin' hot!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This unit I bought in the early 2000's and and have copied and burned literally hundreds of discs. This unit also serves as my play back player in worship services at my church. I like the fact that it will burn and play back both data CD-Rs as well as music CD-R's. I have never tried the CD-RW's. A word of warning is to avoid using generic discs. They will give you grief!. It is awesome in a worship service in that I can have one disc playing while having another on stand by. I find the wired remote very useful in that I don't have to worry about no batteries and I don't have to aim the remote directly at the unit for a function to work.. Disc titles and track titles can be typed in with a computer key board and burned into the TOC of the disc and I'v used that feature a couple of times and it worke pretty well. Awesome unit!

"The best player or recorder on the planet! That is NOT an exageration. Really."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
Excellent sound. As good as any of Tascam's excellent A/D and D/A converters (like the MX2424).
Features
More than ANY other CD player let alone recorder. It has EVERYTHING I would ever want - EXCEPT word clock in. :( not sure why. Here's one surprise I found that even the Tascam developer at NAB didn't know. Tap the FW or RW search button and it will FF REW 1 inute at a time. VERY cool. Not enough space to tell what this thing does. Our radio network uses them everywhere - even where we don't need a recorder!
Quality
We've had two players give us some grief, but every recorder unit has worked perfectly.
Value
Most excellent!
Manufacturer Support
I hear they dropped the pro line of CD recorders because they claim they can no longer get the drives from China. Is that true? HOPE NOT. If it is true, then support just dropped to ZERO!
