With any brand drum, wood selection and head combination make the difference. I 've always found that Tama drums always sound decent right out of the box. Immediately you will notice that the selection of birch makes the drum sing with a whole lot of mid tones.

The back-set on the bass tom mount is perfect for any player. You can't go wrong with the omni-ball set up Tama has created; superior adjust ability in any direction and sturdy holding power. Tama's lug design and die-cast rims make this kit all the more appealing.

Tama really does have some of the best designs when it comes to mounting and stability in it's bass spurs and tom mounts. The set up time is a breeze and positions are rock solid.

This is where Tama really shines...compared to other mid-level and professional series kits, Tama's chroming process is top notch and their finishes are second to none.

When you take a close look at Tama's history and compare their products with anyone else, the price is right and their products last forever.

Since 1983 I've owned 3 Tama Superstar series kits. In that time, I've never had to contact Tama about any issues. Tama has a pretty tight quality control section and I'd venture to say that not many people use them!

stable drum kit good sound I would change heads on all drums depending on the sound you are looking for. good hardware recommend paiste cymbals.overall great for the price.
