"Pretty cool!"

A nice set, cool idea, looks to be pretty good quality. The snare, though high pitched, is amazing. Shells inside don’t look as high quality as the larger birch set, but they don’t look bad either. Set up fitting in two bags is great but full set up takes a little time and I’m almost thinking I’d forgoe the bags unless the weather is bad and just put the whole set up in the back of the car to gigs. Love the small profile, a neat idea that takes some getting used to, but I was playing pretty cool stuff after tweaking the set up to my liking. Memory locks are nice but a couple of them in this set felt like the nuts were stripped. This was a blem model purchase. The plus is low profile, but not yet sure I can’t get the same results with deeper bass with a snare, rack tom and bass, leaving large floor time home. Still this is an ingenious idea - stacking bass and floor Tom, and it sounds pretty good. Small but good. Bags by the way are great!!!

Professional working drummer Used for Duo - currently using cajonSticks - RodsI purchased this cocktail kit because I can play traditional (sitting down) and wanting a good snareFirst impression - Unboxing and setup easy, the hardware has memory locks, and the kit is designed to fit into two bags, one for drums and one for its hardware.Quality - Hardware is light duty but functional, the kick and mounting hardware is entry level but works fine. the shells and heads are in the entry level as well but with that in mind price to value is good.It is certainly good enough to do club work. Snare - tuned to taste and sounds great with rods, it gets 5 stars for tone toms - If you consider the snare a tom then you have an 8, 10 and 12 combo. but as toms only 8/12 is a bit of a spread. I've put a bit of work restructuring fills that sound appropriate using the 8/12 combo. I am use dead ringers on snare and toms to manage overtones dictated by the room acoustics.Kick - The Sound Focus Pad is what makes the Bass. It does a pretty good job in itself, don't expect a 22/24 inch tone. We use a Bose sub on the job. I like a strong kick with some low freq punch, tried several mikes, My Sure KMS 137 dead center pointing straight down with a -25db cut did the best gave me the best tone with least amount of processing. All in all I feel this kit will do just fine for our acoustic gigs.
