"If you're on a lower budget or a beginner, I would highly suggest this. The price is cheap just for the guitar itself."

I know I'll always keep this, and be using it as a main guitar for quite awhile.
Sound
The humbuckers, features, and overall architecture really give a unique, customizable tone. The two tone and two volume knobs are nice with customization..plus the overdrive is pretty damn good, actually..though a bit generic sounding. though you can tell with some better distortion or a pedal, it would be fantastic.
Features
Keep in mind that I'm giving these scores for guitars in this price range. Features-wise, this is a dream. As I said with the sound, you can really customize the tone with both the guitars features and the amp. The amp peaks at 20 watts, getting more than loud enough for practicing in your room or basement. Obviously though you wouldn't be taking it too a show. They give you an extra set of strings as well, a tuner that's nothing great but is effecient enough, five picks, and cables..may want to get thicker, better ones though, as occasionally these will make my amp pick up radio signals...yeah. It's almost comical.
Quality
I take this down one, as when I got this, there was a screw missing in one of my humbuckers, so distortion kind of meshed together..however this can be easily fixed. I'm sure this was obviously a slight shipping flaw though, so I can't blame the company.
Value
for 220 bucks, it's a steal. Even compared to guitars in general, this is a really great guitar..the practice amp is pretty nice, and everything else does the justice. Just get some thicker cables..
Manufacturer Support
Never had to deal with them.
The Wow Factor
Well I own it, but yeah..it's got a lot appeal

"Silvertone is Gold"

id just say if you can get this guitar by itself, buy it alone. the amp sucks, the "padded" gig bag wasnt padded. all it really is is just a nylon bag witha handle and a zipper that says "Silvertone" i never got the tuner or picks, but i did get the DVD and strings. im kinda happy bc i heard that the tuner that it came with sucks. the DVD, just the guy kinda scares me. but overall, GET THIS
Sound
the sound goes all to the guitar... not the amp. the amp deserves a 0. i have a marshall MG15DFX and this silvertone sounds mean. you can get s KILLER sweet chld o mine out of this
Features
i have to give this a 5 bc the amp just had bass, volume, and gain on it. but what do you expect? its a beginners pack!
Ease of Use
it plays VERY easy. ive been playing for a year on it and ive already got the Crazy Train solo down
Quality
again, its all for the guitar. the amp sucks. the guitar is built solid
Value
worth it
The Wow Factor
this guitar is bangin :) the chrome and the yellow with the red.... wheww... this is niice

"Amp is crap... Guitar is great."
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
I won't have the amp or tuner for a long time.. The guitar I will have for a few years. I wish before I bought this I knew what a piece of crap the amp was...
Sound
The guitar itself sounds great, just needs a little tuning at first.
Features
I have to bring this one down a bit. The amp is pretty bad... it doesn't really pick up the "skinny" E string and is very 'crackly'. The gig bag isn't padded like it says, so don't count on much protection. And the electric tuner is plastic and i still can't figure out where to put the batteries in...
Quality
The guitar is great and really nice looking. The amp and tuner are garbage and I will have to get a new one immediately. This guitar (and guitar alone) will probably last quite a while.
Value
Not worth the price. The amp and tuner are useless. But if you want a good guitar, this is good.
Manufacturer Support
Never used it.
The Wow Factor
I love the looks of the guitar. It's a really nice red all over on the body.

"OK for learning"
Verified Purchaser

After about a year or less I will definetely search for a new guitar, and before that the amp will be replaced.
Sound
The sound of the guitar is good, however the amp seems like it does not provide enough cool features. Is very straight forward; overdrive or not.
Features
The "case" provides no protection, and you have to be really careful about it. The electrical tuner ironically does not tune your guitar properly, and the cable broke very quickly.
Quality
This guitar is definetely weak. It is not put together like you expect, and within a couple of weeks you'll notice the pin-straps will eat away the wood (make sure to replace them from the moment you get it.) Compared to other guitars this guitar is very light, giving you a feeling that it can break easily.
Value
The guitar itself will definetely give you a feel of what playing the guitar is, and the price is reasonable, however, you should do a deep search about this guitar before buying it.
Manufacturer Support
This guitar took 3 weeks to deliver. After ordering it I learned that it was not in stock, and no notice was given to me until I called them.
The Wow Factor
The guitar is well designed and looks good. Nothing crazy about it though.

"Sick"

Im gonna stay with this thing until the end. I am getting a Squier Black and Chrome Fat Strat...but im never gonna get rid of this thing. This is the ol' Silvertone! Paul Stanley uses it!
Sound
This thing sounds awsome!! I just wish that the amp didnt crackle so much and sometimes I cant tell if the amp is on or off when I hit the high "E" string...but thats the only flaw id say... the distortion is great becasue i love lots of distortion..
Features
I just wish tht the amp had delay and some of those other goodies...but this aint no Marshall though... the guitar is just sick...Nasty Paint job, sick design (if u ask me id say it almost looks like a Les Paul) it would be even nicer if it had a wammy though... they said that it came with a tuner picks and a padded gig bag... but i didnt see any picks..there was no tuner...and the gig bag wasnt padded.
Quality
this guitar is tough...i dont know how many times it hit the bed and its still goin great...there was already a crack on the back of the guitar...but i dunno if its the companys fault or a shipping mistake..the amp is really really loud for a little thing! it shakes the stuff thats on my bookcase! the strap never had any problems... my high "E" string broke within 2 months but that was my fault. it caught onto my strap when i was picking it up.
Value
id say for beginners..this is awsome...killer looks and great sound adn quality
Manufacturer Support
i dont need it
The Wow Factor
this thing is a sexy beast...great cosmetic appeal...sick shape...nice sound...i just dont know why the humbuckers are black when my guitar is Cherry Sunburst...it would be nice if they were like tan or sumthin

"DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE LOOKS"
i wanted to get a new one within a month or two but i am too poor. I am still in debt just for the one I got and it has been over a year. i just hate it.
Sound
it sounds gross, like a dying cat or something. the override (distorsion) is nasty you can't do anything with it.
Features
it did have double humbuckers but the frets are bad and once i get past the 10th fret it rattles terribly. threw the strings away and the picks, the strap broke within a month and the amp is discusting.
Quality
the guitar looks like some 5 year put it together. i had to readjust everything. the neck seems so weak that i fear taking it anywhere.
Value
like 2 months after i got it i went to try to trade it in, it was still in perfect condition, well like it was when i got it, they place told me they would only give me $40-$50 dollars for it. they said that they would never sell anyone one of those.
Manufacturer Support
didn't feel like messing with it
The Wow Factor
it looked great, i was excited at the price, but once i got in and played a little i was so mad and urked just looking at it dispised me

"TERRIBLE!!!!"
I was wanted something else the day I got it.
Sound
It sounds terrible and the amp sucks! All of my band members were absoluted mad about the sound of it with the rest of the group!
Features
It came with really crappy strings and amp. The tuner also is terrible.
Quality
The neck is terrible and bent really bad within a week! It is also hard to adjust!
Value
They would have to pay me to take another one.
Manufacturer Support
Nothing good comes from it!
The Wow Factor
It sounded great from the website but sadly, wrong.

"WANNA BE ACE, GENE, OR PAUL??? FAT CHANCE!!"
this guitar is my first electric. i have been playing for 4 years but on the acoustic. but on my 17th birthday i got this. i still need alot of work but at the moment it cant get any better.
Sound
It sounds rather good for the cheap pick design. it doesnt have very much resonation unless you really tweek out your effects, if you have a pdal that is. This guitar is most certainly not for the picky type guitar person.
Features
i got this guitar at local music store. it didnt come with any type of gig bag or anything, to be honest, its a better idea to get it seperate because in a cheap package you dont know what you are getting, man.
Ease of Use
since i got the guitar i had to raise and lower the pick ups, hence "the cheap pick up design". when you spend a little while to adjust it to your taste, it sounds really badass!! its a not bad at all.
Quality
its a so-so kind of thing. if i were to go on the road with my band i would personally trust it because if it fails im pretty good at fixing the problem and doing it right. it looks very nice! the cosmetic aspect is what made me get it in the first place! beautiful finnish, i still love it. and also it stays in tune, its all about keeping up with your strings and changing them when needed. so yeah... gooooooooooda!
Value
I may piss some people off but i got the guitar alone for $125 at some store in Malone, NY. so all in all hell mo-fo yeah!!! i just hope you all can fix your stuff like i can...
Manufacturer Support
no man. they did it right the first time. the input plastic casing snapped off but i just took a small peice of sheet metal, cut it, and screwed it on. other than that and the pick ups, its all good G.
The Wow Factor
as i said, the finnish is what made me want it. the and the curve on both sides kind head stock. i could never le this thing leave my side, its reliable and as faithfull as a little dog, i love this guitar.
Musical Background:
3-4 years. i do play in a band
Musical Style:
black metal, death metal, grindcore, and some math metal and hardcore. Oh yeah and SLAYER!!!
