"Great quality, great price, 3 years this set has lasted me greatly."
I've had this set for 3 years and until recently haven't thought of advancing in sets, but now I'm moving on to another set. If Starion made an intermediate or pro set I might be inclined to buy that now, but this baby lasted me 3 years and I'll still hang on to it even when I get a new set.
Sound
The sound is pretty well. The factory heads are horrid, but if replaced with quality or even decent heads (I got EVANS from the start, a nice selection), this is a very nice set.
I've had it for about 3 years and it's still blasting it out.
Great for beginner-to-intermediate.
The set holds up very nice in live setting, and when miced internally with the bass drum, blasts out a nice deep rumble.
On recordings it sounds even better. The deep tones are picked up smoothly over all background noise and hold up rich tones.
The tuning is very touchy, but once in a good spot it will stay there for quite awhile.
To make this set sound better, you'd need an O-Ring for your snare (It rings a lot), some new heads (The reso-heads are fine as-is), and some nice cymbals. If you know how to get what you want out of a drum you can make this sound beautiful.
If you're new to drumming, this is perfect. great tones, GREAT for the price.
Features
There weren't too many special features. The toms have the holder inside them, greatly limiting their mobility, and unless placed on carpet or something in front of the bass drum, it WILL move. Same with the floor tom.
Quality
For the price, this is a great quality. A screw or two have come loose inside the bass drum, nothing you can't easily fix with a screwdriver by tightening it.
Nothing has broken on this set in the 3 years I've had it (aside from sticks, heads, and cymbals)
Value
In it's price range, this is possibly one of the best drums at such a low price.
This set will last you a long time.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't personally dealt with the company, but the instructions that came with the set told all that was needed to get started.
The Wow Factor
I first saw this set in a store and personally played it while choosing my first drumset. After playing all the drums within our price range, I decided they were the best sounding of what I could afford.
I have the black ones, and when shined (I have them in the basement where my band practices, they gather dust even though we play all the time) they are beautiful. The hardware shines brilliantly.

"Not bad at all"
I found this 5 pc. set in a Pawn Shop here in Austin Tx. so I bought them for My Wife. I'm a Guitarist of 51 years and a Studio/Session Musician Myself but My Wife loves to play on the drums. I've had some of My Pro Drummer Friends over and They were rather impressed with this set. Of course they did a few little Drummer tricks to them but now They Rock. I found some use Zildjian Cymbals to add to them and now My Angel is starting to sound pretty good. I believe I've created a Monster ... LoL. All in all, for the cash, these are by far a really good set of Drums. I'd recommend them to anyone wanting to start at being a Drummer.

Starion 5-Piece Drum Kit Customer Review
Very happy about the set, i'd reccomend to anyone as a practice, or throw around for going to small venue gigs and shows.
Sound
PUT NEW HEADS ON IMMEDIATELY... take some time to really tune them also... it helps to put new batter and resonate on all the drums, but it is a must for the bass.
Features
The hardware bites. I'd just buy a new set of hardware right off. Drop the bass drum pedal immediately. Hihat stand has little play, or control.
Quality
Okay, so they are beginner drums. Mine are still shiny... but remember it is wrap. The bass drum pedal and hihat stand are mighty rank. heads that come with it are silly.
Value
For the price, they are great, i've had them for about a year and a half without any serious problems.

"EH....Don't settle for the price, just get a good set."
Sound
The sound is ok, I'm getting rid of mine and getting a nice Pearl. It's not a great set for really good drummers, especially if you gig out all of the time. I'm embarrased to bring my kit on the road for shows I play in....
Features
It's just a regular standard 5-Piece, lacking quality....What can I say?
Ease of Use
It's easy to adjust everything, just still; the sound isn't great.
Quality
It's made well, I've gotta say that; very durable, very easy axcess.
Value
It's priced good here, but you won't find a really good set new for under $600 though.
The Wow Factor
Kind of ugly...
