"Great Sounding and Unique"

I really enjoy the look/style of this bass guitar. I purchased the yellow one as I enjoy the vibrant color combined with the unique shape. The bass sounds good and for the money it is hard to beat. It’s very light, easy to tune and perfect size for traveling or gigs. The only issues I found with mine were 1) sharp frets towards the body 2) major fret buzz… I was able to address this issues with a file and setting it up again. These are pretty basic things and weren’t a big deal but figure if someone else has the same issues not to sweat. Also common to have a setup done anyway. Overall worth the price and sounds great.

This was an impulse purchase, I was curious how XT-2 would handle and sound. With the price point at a beginner’s level instrument I did not have any expectations. It came quickly, intact and intonated. The action was a little high but I made that adjustment. Man! Was I surprised with this bass. Sitting or standing it was comfortable. I had to get used to the neck being so long, but that adjustment was easy. Since receiving the XT-2 I haven’t touched my Jazz Bass. I have used it to record and it is quiet, has great tone and feel. The pick ups are great sounding. If you need or want a great playing and great sounding bass order this now. At this price point you cannot go wrong!

I had the old original L2 and I won't compare to it because they are two totally different basses other than the design. I love this bass, I wanted a backup on stage that wasn't big or bulky to carry around and this knocks it out. I play 50+ shows per year been doing it for 15 years, been playing for 40 years. Quality is very good, setup, pickups just fine for me, even though it's a backup I will use it onstage 30% of the time. No problem with me about how it hangs on my body.

I had never played a headless instrument before. The weight or lack there of takes a little getting used to. It's a fun instrument. I played bass before guitar I had forgotten how much to fun it is. It's simple yet elegant design performs as advertised. My only observation is it seems more ideal for slap bass artists. In short it works for me.

"Don't need to buy a $100 Chromatic Tuner pedal;; regular $25 Fender guitar/bass tuner will work"

*** BY THE WAY: You CAN open a regular $25 Fender guitar TUNER wide enough to clip on the center of the 1-inch end-of-neck above 1st fret. You do NOT need to purchase a $100 Chromatic Tuner pedal. You WILL probably need a FRET FILE though if purchasing new...especially if you live in a predominantly dry climate like California. Easy fix and no biggie considering the price/value you get *** I got a HOT ROD RED 4-string and LOVE IT !!!

"XT-2 Review"

This bass does not have a Nut. It comes with a Zero Fret, and for those who like lower action, this might not work. Also, the fretboard is a bit uneven along with the fret job and buzzing is a problem at the 2nd fret, but you get what you pay for. The weight of the bass reminds me of a Beatle Bass and I must say that the pickups sound great! I wish I had them on a Jazz Bass. Another unseen issue is that the strap connects at the heel of the neck and it causes the neck to protrude very far to the left when standing. The original had a built in extender arm for that reason. The best part about this bass is that it's good for travel because it will fit in the overhang compartment on a plane.
