I don't know what that other clown is complaining about this interface is dope and deserves more than 3 stars. It is clean and runs daws great. If you need something that has more inputs, SSL has a bigger interface with the 18. But this is all I need. Definitely better than the apollo solo and twin.

This interface is amazing for the price, in fact it's really a crime to get such an awesome interface for the price. If you are coming from MOTU or Focusrite, do yourself a favor and stop abusing yourself. The SSL 12 is here to love you and your jams, so let it heal your harsh and limited interface with its goodness. When I bought it, I immediately heard the difference from junky mic preamps to real big boy clean and clear preamps. The SSL 360 software was easy enough to navigate right out of the box and it pairs with REAPER very well. Honestly, if you're on the fence about buying this then let me be the one to tell you that the SSL 12 is worth so much more than what they're asking for it... Just don't use the 4K buttons, they're kind of wonky sounding.

Firstly, the audio is very clean. Well done. The 4K 'boost' sounds great with my Moog Sub37.I bought the SSL 12 from zZounds hoping to replace my old Roland MX-1. BUT SSL 12 only has 4 mono inputs, despite having separate instrument inputs on the front, these aren't physically separated from the rear channel 1/2. I didn't see this documented anywhere. I was hoping I'd see the two front as discreet inputs in the 360 software, but instead plugging an instrument into the front cuts off the input at the back. Why they have 4 master out, when two could be in/out selectable I don't know.I also have stereo effects and as there is no ganging of channels, each channel is independent. You can pan l/r to create a stereo spread, but the gain/level is different on each channel, so you can't run the same settings on each. I verified that channel 2 is hotter than channel 1 with multiple instruments.Super bummed with the input limitations which aren't documented.
