The only thing mini about this stand is the boom length. It is a nice substantial size stand using thick gauge tubing. I can't believe the weight of this stand. It feels heavy duty and for this price it is truly a steal. I've got some Tama road pro stands and this stand side by side is identical thickness except for the boom length,

Hands down Sonor makes some of the best cymbal stands available. They are affordable and solid. I don't use Sonor drums anymore, but I am sticking with their stands.
