I've been working this for a few months now and it's been great. For most of that time I've just used the "normal" channel with a Fender HSS Strat. Recently pulled my old Les P Classic out of mothballs and now I'm using both channels part-time with the Normal channel always on. It's been great with an old Frenzel Super Sport tube Champ clone and with a Quilter Aviator Mach 3 set to '65 Blackface mode. It takes some getting used to and well worth the time. This is a keeper. Light OD, Crunch or Sing or Scream, you can get it here.

I just bought this pedal and at first I hated it until I understood what the pedal was doing was my fault. I am not using this in front of an amp just to let you know. I am using this in a pedal board chain with the first large Tonex being my amplifier and this as a pre amp to a clean capture. What happened. I was getting harsh volume jumps and hard fuzz, thinking something was wrong with this pedal. Know this is NOT the pedal. Its how hot the pedal is hitting the Audient id 24 I use to record with and the captures themselves in the Tonex. Not all captures are equal and can also be gain staged badly. Its best to run this into clean captures and use this pedal as your edge of breakup and higher gain. Then drop your input level to about -18db on your channel. Once I learned this in about an hour, because I use a massive pedal board of about 19 pedals total and gain staged beautifully now having the buffering keeping everything perfect with no tone suck. Now for the pedal. I also use the EVH5150 for super high gain, and now this for a different use of articulate tone and edge of breakup to semi high gain. It feels so real under your fingers and you will hear many bands comes to life like Ratt and more. If you set up your board, put this pedal before the amp to me. And the review above mine. Yes this OD which to me is more of a preamp does NOT suck! EVH5150 to me is still king of high gain, but this is a different animal. You will learn to love it very fast.
