After trying many online ways to tune my guitar. This one actually works. No guessing, no snapped strings. I recommend.

Works great! Very convenient and accurate! Even worked on fellow-musician's trombone, so I'm sure it'd work great on any instrument that generates vibration. I did have a difficult time getting a reading on the low E of my solid body when placed on the headstock.

Played guitar for 42 years. Bass, piano.

No instructions needed, if you can't use this one then you will need to take your guitar to shop for tuning. If you break the head of this unit, then you were too rough with it. Excellent tuner for any price.

Basic clip-on tuner. I use it with acoustics, electrics, and a five-string bass, none of which have presented a problem for the Snark. The plastic pylon looks to be flimsy, but I have yet to break it. The SN-5 is a basic tuner without a metronome and without the ability to changer the 'A' reference frequency, so verify your requirements before you order. Overall, I love this tuner - it does what it is supposed to do.

Musical Background:

I've been playing guitar/bass for about twenty -five years.

Musical Style:

Just received my Snark Tuner. Installed the battery push the on/off button and it worked great, fast and very easy to see right out of the box. I bought two of these one is for my son who has turned professional playing at local venues.

This is my very first Snark product purchase. It has been a great functioning piece of equipment thus far. Because I just recently purchased my tuner am very careful about the way I'm handling this device. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's flimsy however, the feel of its construction doesn't exactly give me a whole lot of confidence in it either. Only time will tell of its true quality.

"Not good for Bass Guitar"

This tuner works well if you have a guitar. If you have an electric bass guitar, that is another story. You won't be able to tune at all, except for maybe the high g string. I snapped the low E string, because it wouldn't accurately tell me what note I was tuned at. It would not pick up a low E note.I wouldn't recommend it at all if you have a bass.
