I purchased this guitar from zZounds, and upon receiving it, this guitar was in perfect tune at A440 pitch, and intonated. I only had to slightly tweak the 2nd and 6th strings. This guitar is absolutely amazing. The build quality is immaculate, and the sound, tone, and playability is superb. I've been contemplating on purchasing a Sire for a long time, and after comparing numerous guitar brands and models, I placed the order for the S5 and I am so thankful that I did. For the quality, sound, playability, features, and price, the Sire S5 is remarkable. I own, and have owned many guitars of many brands and models in my life, and I have to say that this S5 surpasses them all. I highly recommend the Sire line. zZounds makes it all possible, and offers excellent support.

I've had the guitar for 4 days now and have played it everyday. Most of the guitar is satisfactory minus 2 areas. Tuning and fret edges. I have 45 years experience playing and maintaining guitars. However, after several adjustments with the bridge I can not keep it in tune when the whammy bar is used. It might be fixed if I were to pay for a professional set up but that would cost $100 or more.The next thing is the fret edges. Thet are barely rolled and sharp as knives. They shreadded the kleenex i used to test them up and down the neck.Im going to continue to work on it, resting. and see what I get. If I can't get it better I will return it probably fot a PRS Silversky SE. I own several SE models and know the quality is spot on out of the box most of the time. It's really too bad because I wanted to support the SIRE brand.
