This product is excellent! It's a perfect entry level kit for a home studio-based application. I am very pleased with the response of the condensor microphones. They pick up cymbals beautifully, then can be applied to recording guitars, overhead, vocals, etc.

This kit came with cables and mounting clips for the toms/snares. All you will need is a few mic stands and you're good to go.

They are microphones, you need phantom power or AA Batteries for the condensors.

The best bang for your buck PLUS zZounds price matched a much lower price. Don't be afraid to ask for a lower price!

I've not needed to use Shure Support, but I'm sure they rock.

The clips are very friendly to drums and do not pick up additional shock. The overheads have excellent fidelity.

Lots of plastic used... but again, these aren't the "cream of the crop" Shure products. The key is the sound... and on that front, they pass the test in flying colors!

Skip the CADs... get these!

The sound is great out of each of the mics. Where I see this pack really shine is in the kick drum mic. I see some reviews out there that complain about it, but I have gotten awesomely consistent results with a tight, focused attack with quite a nice amount of bass punch. I think maybe these people should tune their kick drum! The condensers are very sensitive, so there's a lot of tweaking that needs to happen to get those just right. I use the 'recorderman' approach to mic'ing the overhead condensers. The reason why I gave it a 9 is because the Toms do generate some bleed through. I would like to see a tighter polar pattern on these three mics. I have added an SM57 for the Snare, and recommend using nothing else for that.

Awesome Case, Awesome quality for the Mics, the mic clips are very simplistic yet perfect for mic'ing almost any drum, and even includes Energizer batteries for the condensers...I'm so use to seeing some japanese crap batteries that this was a pleasant surprise! The mic cables are decent quality and include velcro cable wraps!

Simple, simple, SIMPLE! Don't forget to turn the condenser switch on when you're using them, and off if you are using the batteries...
