Shure E2C Mini Stereo Earphones
The E2c features a high energy driver in a distinctive comet-shaped enclosure that creates fuller, richer sound than any earbud is capable of producing. The insightful mechanical design of the E2c is a result of Shure's years of experience with working musicians, resulting in an affordable in-ear earphone that provides excellent isolation from background noise.

Sound
I love these things. I never know what to call them. They sound just like my voice and my guitars! When I send a LOUD signal to them from my board, it sounds loud, never ever distorted. These ear-piece things will DESTROY your hearing long before they will buzz or distort, so be careful.
Features
The only feature is the sound isolation which, very amazingly, is sort of adjustable. The unit comes with two types of "inserts" for the ear-canal part: one type is flexible clear plastic, quick and easy to insert and with medium sound blocking -- the other is compressible foam that expands in the ear canal for a tighter fit and better sound isolation. I use the easy-on clear plastic. Each type comes in three sizes, small, medium and large. You can order packets of replacement inserts. The sound blocking is important, because it allows you to keep the volume lower, sparing your hearing.
Quality
I would pay more for this than it cost, now that I have used it for a while. Sometimes I just hold them in my hands, like a string of pearls, and admire them, and think how smart I was to have purchased them!

"*****SHURE E2C is not all that*****"
On DESIGN I would rate it = 10 (it looks great)
On CONFORT I would rate it = 9 (light and small, but it takes some time to put it on)
On SOUND I would rate it = 6 (BRIGHTLESS on the highs, and BASS is just OK)
On CONSTRUCTION I would rate it = 10 (Appears to be made to LAST)
I don't recommend it for the price.
Sound
The ISOLATION of the background noise is excellent.
The BASS is alright, need a bit more of deepness in it.
The MID TONES are great, can hear every detail in the mid range.
The HIGH TONES on every type of music are sound DULL; the crispiness that I was hoping for, it just doesn't have it, I've heard regular earphones with better high tones than this "professional one". Shure really needs to work on the highs; is just dissapointing. I was expecting something better for the price.
The OVERALL sound is cheerless and cloudy, it needs improvement in the HIGHs and on the BASS.
Features
The ISOLATION of the background noise, the DESIGN, and the CONFORT are excellent.
Value
I payed $100 for it and I don't think the sound quality is worth it. The design and isolation is wonderful, but the sound is not all that.
The Wow Factor
The design is great but the sound is not good enough for the price.
Musical Style:
HIp Hop, Latin, Alternative, Drum and Bass, light Jazz, House
