I live in North east Ohio and I am a professional ventriloquist and vocalist. I perform throughout Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. In my act I use a Fender speaker system along with a Pyle head set microphone. I was in need of an upgrade in the sound department. I found about zZounds via the internet and I purchased a Shure microphone headset unit. This was the best choice I've made in a long time. zZounds shipped my headset very fast. When I hooked the Shure unit up to my speakers I was literally blown away by the awesome sound being emitted from the speakers by way of the Shure headset. After the first time I used this headset, I almost returned it. Why? Because it was so freaking sharp, it was picking up my breath when I placed at the suggested position. And there was no mute switch. I got busy though and didn't fill out the return order. Then, the weekend came, no one was home and I had the place to myself the whole evening to try this thing out. Then I found a hack for the mute: the power button itself on the transmitter that cuts instantly and powers back in virtually a second. So, the most I finish a song, I cut off the unit. Then, just as the accompanying music comes back on, I power it back on. I was blown away. I've become a 100% better singer overnight. The mike is so freaking good it picks up even the smallest strains of your and projects it so beautifully. I paired with this with a QSC K12 power speaker that I also got from ZZ. My entire investment is about $1,100 (the speaker is about $800 and this unit $300). It's the best $1,100 that I ever invested for personal joy. Get it, but get it with a bloody good speaker like the QSC. And be blown away, like me.

After trying two other less expensive products that I had to return, (not purchased here), this system seems to be working very well. Headset is sturdy, TX has easy to reach controls and receiver is easily programmable. Let’s see how long it lasts.Sound is very good. No detectable noise or hiss and has very good although not flat frequency response. Some EQ will help. Have not yet performed with it yet, got it today.
