The finish on Schaller products including their Strap locks which I also use are great. Far better finish and build then the nick prone sprezels that use soft aluminum. Quality German craftsmanship !!

Bought these tuners to replace the awful worn out stock tuners on an epiphone sg special. Packaging is nice a cardboard box with a Styrofoam block with cutouts to hold the tuners in place as well as new screws included held into the block with tape so they dont fall out and get lost. The finish is really nice and they have some heft to them and feel solid. Installation was a bit of a pain first thing is there is only one screw that hold these to the back of the head which did not line up with either of the 2 screw holes from removing the stock tuners, also the shaft is a little wider which required the original holes to be drilled out to allow them the fit. The Styrofoam served a secondary purpose as a result as i was able to press the shaft of the tuner into the styofoam and match the proper drill bit to the size of the hole. On top of the one screw on the back of the head there is also a piece that threads in from the front with a nice chrome metal washer to hold it in place which also helped hide some of the damage to the finish on the guitar as a result of drilling the holes.
