I am very satisfied with my Stagg stand. This stand was designed to support my Stagg Electric Double Bass. Very well constructed, and sturdy. I use the stand as a means of supporting my bass while playing. It makes is easier, and more comfortable to play. A little pricy I thought. After searching the web for a lower price. The price was very consistent with other online store. Zzounds has been very good to me on other purchases (Basses). I elected to buy this item from the folks that have been good to me.. I have almost no experience with upright basses other than trying to play one you see in a store. I wanted to play an upright but when I saw how much they cost I backed away.ENTER ZSOUNDS. I was Looking at their web site and saw the stagg electric upright. Not only was the price more than fair,I get to make payments. And bat of all it plays great and is a perfect choice for a first upright. I really liked working with ZSOUNDS. From now on I am going to check with them first before making my next purchase.

The SVEDB stand for the Stagg electric uprights is all I expected it to be: made out of quality steel and well-assembled, and designed with wide base for stability. Extra touches like the end-pin holder, bow holder, and a latch around the neck holder only make it stronger.Pros: plenty stable. I have no fear leaving the bass in this stand. Well-assembled. It _can_ be used for playing while in the stand if you set the upper 'neck' holder way down low to grab the body instead, and raise the end-pin holder accordingly, but that's too clunky for me - I'd trip over the legs.Cons: It takes up a good bit of floor real estate, so I can't use it if playing in cramped quarters with a small ensemble. Secondly, when folded, the bottom legs don't lock or clamp into place, so carrying it is a little strange. A bungee cord around the whole thing made it better. Finally, I managed to twist off one of the plastic knobs on the first day out. I'll need to contact either zZounds or Stagg to see if I can get a replacement.
