"Not bad.."

I bought this pickup a few days ago and had it installed yesterday. I'd have to say that it does lack some low end. Like something is missing. I guess that's what they meant by low-mid or whatever.. either way, I was just trying to find a pickup that fit in my guitar since I can't fit regular actives in it. I don't like the idea of dremeling in to my guitars so I thought I'd try this one. The square piece under the pickup was in the way so I had to dremel out part of the cavity anyway.. I thought it was a direct flush fit. I was wrong. It doesn't sound bad though. I prefer the Retribution pickup over this one though.
Sound
Very mid heavy in my opinion. Maybe others will hear differently.
Ease of Use
As I said above, it's lacks some low end. It still chugs though..
Manufacturer Support
The square piece under the pickup will not fit in a passive mount cavity in some Ibanez direct mount cavities. You will have to dremel out part of the cavity. Mine used to have DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups without the covers so the cavity is smaller. You're limited to what you want in those type of guitars.
