This is a huge step up from the G3 and extremely easy to use. The added bonus of the simple receiver means that video folks no longer have to worry about a mess of cables connecting in to their gear while working single-handedly. Sound quality is on par for what I would expect from a prosumer product and the price, while a little high, is competitive for the quality you get.
The only negative is the non-standard, extremely expensive batteries that are needed to make sure that you can keep your gear running.
