"Seagull Guitars superb value"
This is my second Seagull guitar and I expect it to last for the next 10-15 years or longer. I find this guitar comparable to much more expensive models such as Martin, Takamine, Guild.

mellow and full sound clear and smooth

"Its right at Par for its price. But its unique sound just might reel you in."
Im hoping that this one will stick around for 5 years or so. I'll prolly end up buying another martin by then.
Sound
The sound on the guitar really isn't bad. It's very bright with shinny mid tones. I say shinny and not punchy because the guitar doesn't give off bassy mid tones. But instread crisp mid tones. It's very different in that way and that what I think I like about this guitar.
Features
The guitar came with some interesting things. Cherry back and sides, with a maple neck topped with a spruce top. Usually its mahogany and rosewood.
Ease of Use
Pretty easy to use. Everything is adjustable as just on most standard acoustic.
One think that I did find was the the Neck felt a little wide to most guitars out there. I would really suggest playing this guitar before buying to make sure that its right for you.
Quality
The guitar appears well made. Well snipped frets and very little glue can be seen on the inside of the guitar. The tunning pegs are sturdy and matian tuning fairly well. I'd say its right at par for $400.
Value
The value was so so. I would have been more happy with $350 or so. But $400 would be my max.
The Wow Factor
You know what? At first I thought it was the ugliest guitar in the shop. But I loved it's sound. So I thought, hell... looks shouldn't matter its the sound.
Now the guitar has grown on me. I love how she looks.

"This is probably the ideal guitar for sitting around the ol' bonfire: when the wood runs low you will gladly toss this awful thi"
I kept this thing for a few months, but finally couldn't take it and let an "accident" befall it. As mentioned above, it's now at the landfill where it belongs along with deposits my dog makes every morning.
Sound
This guitar has the absolute worst sound quality of any guitar I have ever played. I received it as a gift, purchased by my wife (a non-player) who was basically buying based on price (around $400) and boy did she get snookered.
Imagine playing a beginner guitar underwater and you will have some conception of what this supposed "musical instrument" sounds like. The sound quality was dull, although that's being insulting to dull guitars everywhere. Strings/set up/praying to the guitar Gods made no difference, it continued to sound horrible. During my 20+ years of playing I have never played such a poor guitar.
Features
No accessories. I do wish it came with a hammer so that you could more easily and quickly destroy it, because if you end up with one of these, you will definitely want to rid yourself of it.
Quality
The guitar was extremely poorly made. It felt like it was made of plastic it was so light. The finish was very thin and it was incredibly easy to scratch and especially ding. The nut cracked within a few weeks and the fingerboard started flaking not long after I received it.
Value
No way.
Manufacturer Support
I contacted the company about the poor sound and they offered to *sell* me another instrument if I was disatisfied with the overall sound of this one. Unbelievable.
The Wow Factor
It's a lousy guitar that's made poorly. It has no sex appeal except for masochists.
